Alberta Sheriffs have shut down what they describe as a problem property in northwest Edmonton where more than 40 visits from police have occurred in the last five months.

The SCAN (safer communities and neighbourhoods) unit obtained a court order against the property owner at 15812 110 Ave. NW closing the property for 90 days starting on Wednesday, said Alberta Sheriffs in a news release.

All residents living in the home, including the property owner, must vacate the premises.

According to Alberta Sheriffs, the property has been investigated by the northern SCAN unit four different times since June 2019.

Residents in the area have consistently reported people leaving the property appear to be under the influence of drugs, along with suspected thefts linked to people living at the prop
