As mice and rats seek indoor shelter for the upcoming winter season, beware that some cities and regions are more rat-infested than others.
Three cities in Ohio are among the top 30 rattiest cities in the United States, according to a report from Orkin , an international pest and rodent control company. Cleveland ranks 11th among the most rat-infested U.S. cities, while Columbus ranks 21st and Cincinnati is 27th on the list of 50 cities overall.
That marks a slight improvement for both Cleveland, which ranked 10th in last year’s report , and Columbus, which ranked 17th in 2024. Cincinnati, meanwhile, jumped seven spots from No. 34 last year to No. 27 in this year’s rankings.
Outside of Ohio, specifically, Los Angeles knocked off Chicago as the most rat-infested city in the country,
