New police dog, handler graduate training and join Pelham Police Department K

PELHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Pelham Police Department recently welcomed a new K-9 and her handler.

Myra and her handler, Officer Harnden, recently completed an intensive six-week training program and graduated from the Kassenburg K-9 School.

Myra is a certified narcotics detection K-9 and is trained to assist in patrol operations, searches, and helping keep the community safe.

Congratulations to Officer Harnden and Myra on graduating from training and joining the team in Pelham!
