EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State men’s basketball is going to ride a lot on the success and leadership of Jeremy Fears Jr. in the Spartans’ 2025-26 season.

“Our best job is to represent the program, the people that came before us, and, you know, the name of Michigan State,” said Fears.

Fears Jr. has had to overcome some major adversity already during his time at MSU when he was shot in the leg in his hometown of Joliet, Illinois, back on Dec. 23, 2023. Fears was forced to sit out and redshirt the rest of his first year at MSU. After rehabbing and recovering all the way leading up to the 2024-25 season, Fears was able to learn a lot and take a step back while being sidelined.
