WEST VIRGINIA (WVNS) - SNAP recipients nationwide could see significant delays in benefits for November despite courts orders mandating benefits be issued.
A federal judge ordered the Trump Administration to tap into a multibillion-dollar contingency fund to continue funding SNAP. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said partial benefits will be issued but that recipients can expect delays. Efforts toward funding for West Virginia food banks have been made on the state and local levels to address the need. Though experts have said this funding is just a drop in the bucket given the severity of the issue.
