LODI, Calif. —
The city of Lodi will be divided into three congressional districts following the passage of Prop 50, leading local and federal leaders to work on forming new connections to best serve the community.
Lodi City Councilmember and former Mayor Mikey Hothi said the division was "not ideal."
"You know, we've had Josh Harder as our Rep. going back two years now, and he's proven to be a highly effective Congress member," Hothi said. "Now, we're going to have three individuals representing us."
Mayor of Lodi Cameron Bregman is not optimistic about the change.
"People try to tell me that it's not going to be that bad. Baloney, okay," Bregman said.
He further explained the challenges of dealing with politicians who need to get reelected.
