YMCA of Central Texas secures funding for new location in Brazos Valley

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The YMCA of Central Texas has announced it has secured the funding to create a new location in the Brazos Valley region.

According to the YMCA, the Brazos Valley Founders Committee raised $300,000 following community support, which was then matched by the YMCA of Central Texas, securing the $600,000 in funding for the new location.

"The successful fundraising campaign addresses a critical need in the community for additional youth programming and additional recreation facilities," the YMCA of Central Texas said in a statement.
