MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - An action plan and a rate adjustment – that was the ruling from the West Virginia Public Service Commission for the Mingo County Public Service District to improve service quality.
The Mingo County PSD has been under investigation since early this year after numerous customer complaints over water quality.
The state PSD said it discovered the facility was in “poor condition” and that there were “safety issues.”
The Mingo County PSD has now been required to provide a plan to address issues like a lack of employees, replacing failing and outdated equipment and seeking long-term funding to deal with ongoing problems, as well as amending its leak adjustment rates.
