** SEVERE WEATHER RISK IN PLACE FOR BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY **

A pretty day today, but our next weather maker arrives by tomorrow, bringing likely strong to severe storms — and behind them, the coldest air we’ve seen all season.

It’s a little warmer waking up this morning, with temperatures sitting in the upper 40s and warming into the 60s by 9am Lots of sunshine is expected today, with above-average highs in the mid-70s.

Friday marks round one of our unsettled weather pattern for the next few days. A cold front will push through, bringing the potential for strong to severe storms during the late afternoon and into the overnight hours. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall are the main threats. Highs will be in the low 70s.
