A British scientist died after guzzling gallons of carrot juice in a bizarre experiment that turned fatal. ‌

Dr Basil Brown, 48, from Croydon, south London, was known as a "health food enthusiast" committed to wholesome living and natural eating. ‌

However, his fixation with vitamins went too far when he started downing massive quantities of carrot juice and Vitamin A pills in a self-imposed routine that proved lethal. ‌
