OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Temperatures are chilly to start but as the clouds increase and the wind picks up we should start to warm through the 40s this morning. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are likely with highs in the mid 60s this afternoon.

South wind gusts up near 25 mph will help with the warming today too.

More of the same warmth is likely Friday with more sunshine and a northwest wind. Highs near 65 are expected with gusts to 30 mph in play.

All this leads up to our pair of First Alert 6 Weather Days on the way for the weekend. Rain, melting snow, wind and falling temperatures are likely along with our first hard freeze.

Beyond this weekend we will see a pretty rapid warm up. Widespread 60s are likely starting Tuesday lasting the rest of the next week.
