Lidl has issued an urgent 'do not eat' warning for a popular snack that could contain dangerous glass fragments. The supermarket has recalled its Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews after discovering the product may be contaminated with glass, posing a serious safety risk. ‌

The warning applies to 125g packets with a best before date of June 28, 2026. Notices will be put up in all Lidl stores selling the item, explaining why it's been pulled from shelves and advising customers what steps to take if they've already purchased it. ‌

A Food Standards Agency (FSA) spokesperson said: "If you have bought the above product, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For further information, please contact Lidl Customer
