Armed police were called to an Asda supermarket after a woman was stabbed with the suspect - another woman - still at large.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, was rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries to her arm and hand during the incident on Wednesday night.

Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police searched for the suspect, a woman also believed to be in her 40s who is reportedly known to the victim, at the scene but did not locate her.

The force is keen to trace the woman in connection with the incident, and has appealed to anyone with dashcam footage or those who witnessed the attack to contact them directly, or to get in touch with Crimestoppers.
