Western Michigan football is mourning the loss of Marshawn Kneeland.

Kneeland, 24, died on Wednesday evening from a “self-inflicted gunshot wound”, per a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Kneeland played five seasons at Western Michigan before the Dallas Cowboys selected him in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

He left a large impact in Kalamazoo.
