A man has died weeks after being hit by a coach that rolled backwards at Ormskirk Bus Station.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 11.45am on September 25 after reports of a serious crash. Police found that a single-decker coach had rolled back and hit the man, who was in his 20s, but that no one was driving the vehicle at the time.

An investigation was launched into the incident, but police have now confirmed that this has concluded and that "no criminal act" had occurred.

PC Simon Grounds of Lancashire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This collision has very sadly resulted in a young man losing his life in tragic circumstances.
