BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) says it remains fully operational despite nationwide flight reductions, while connecting travelers to nearly half of the airports affected by the FAA cuts.

Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) is not among the Associated Press' unofficial list of 40 U.S. airports facing 10% flight cuts starting Friday due to the government shutdown and air traffic controller shortages. However, XNA connects to nearly half of those affected airports.

XNA offers 27 direct flights to the destinations on the AP’s list. Of these, 18 airports are affected by the FAA flight cuts, while 9 are not impacted.

A spokesperson with XNA released the following statement to KNWA/FOX24 on Nov. 6:
