A 14-year-old boy was killed after his e-bike collided with an SUV on Long Island.
The crash happened around 7:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at the intersection of Alice Avenue and Bellmore Avenue in North Bellmore, according to Nassau County Police.
A preliminary investigation found that the teen was riding an e-bike westbound on Alice Avenue when he was struck by a Chevrolet SUV traveling southbound on Bellmore Avenue.
The boy suffered severe trauma and was taken by Nassau County ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The 45-year-old woman driving the SUV remained at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
