Palm Springs resident Brian O'Connor has been appointed to the board of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, a leadership role in one of the largest LGBTQ advocacy organizations in the country.

The former public relations executive has long been involved in HRC, a passion which began in the early 2000s after he collaborated with the nonprofit for a gala dinner honoring Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor hosted at the Los Angeles hotel where he worked.
