CORNELIUS Ore. (KPTV) - A man was arrested on Tuesday after a standoff with police in Cornelius, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.

Shortly before 2 p.m., deputies were sent to the area of South Alpine Street and South Ninth Avenue after a 911 caller said an unknown man had pointed a gun at them.

While deputies were on their way, the suspect went inside a house and refused to come out, WCSO said.

Deputies called in crisis negotiators and tachicle police units. Eventually, officers used explosives to blow open the door and enter the house.

At that point, WCSO said the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Luis Cambron-Flores, left the house.

According to WSCO, Cambron-Flores had aledgely been driving before the standoff on a revoked driver’s license.
