CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The manhunt for suspected murderer Dominic Connelly entered day 9 on Thursday as law enforcement continued an intensive search that has kept Craven County on edge for more than a week.
Connelly is wanted for murdering his grandmother and allegedly stabbing a deputy. Law enforcement has been using the Vanceboro Rural Volunteer Fire Department as a command post during the search.
Drew Bowden, who lives near Wilmar, where deputies say Connelly was potentially spotted on Wednesday, said he will call for assistance if he sees the suspect.
“I would probably try to call for assistance as soon as I could, but I’ve also got that $5,000 in mind as well, and I’m retired law enforcement,” Bowden said.
Craven County deputies said there were no new updates on Thursday.
