PLYMOUTH, N.C. (WITN) - Concerns are being voiced over patient privacy, after papers found near a Plymouth hospital property demolition site, and elsewhere in town appear to contain personal medical information.

Pamela Jenkins-Gaylord, a Plymouth native who was in town visiting from Alabama this week and owns property in the area, says she drove by the site on Monday, where she saw buildings right next to the Washington Regional Medical Center being torn down.

Wondering what was going on, she says she noticed boxes still at the site and papers scattered nearby.

“I saw boxes,” she said. “I was like, I don’t know what these boxes are so when I did inquire, people were like, ‘Yeah, they’ve been tearing the buildings down.’ I said, ‘Y’all, what is in the boxes?”
