GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - People near Pitt–Greenville Airport on Wednesday may have noticed something unusual in the sky.
The Goodyear Blimp landed in Greenville on Wednesday for an ongoing secret project.
“We are working on a super secret project for now. It’s a media project we can’t reveal yet, but are excited to talk about soon,” said Goodyear airship pilot Jensen Kervern.
Kervern said the blimp is mainly used for advertising and event coverage.
“Our main draw is advertising. Recently, we have been doing a lot more work on social media, but we do a lot of NFL and hockey,” she said.
Only four Goodyear blimps exist: Three in the U.S. and one in Germany. The U.S. blimps are based in Ohio, Florida, and California.
