The spirit of generosity in the Santa Maria Valley took center stage Thursday as the Santa Barbara Foundation, in partnership with the Santa Maria Times, hosted the 17th annual Celebrate Philanthropy Luncheon at the Santa Maria Country Club.

The event recognized individuals and families whose civic and charitable contributions have strengthened the fabric of the community — honorees were Kate Ferguson and Mike and Tricia Bouquet, celebrated for their leadership, compassion and commitment to improving lives across the Santa Maria Valley.
