LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - An LG&E employee was fatally injured while working on a power line on Thursday.

LG&E spokesperson Liz Pratt confirmed to WAVE that on Thursday, Nov. 6, a line technician died while working to reconductor a power line in Oldham County.

“This is a tragic loss for our entire LG&E and KU workforce, and our hearts are heavy for his family and all who knew him,” Pratt said. “We are performing a thorough investigation to better understand factors that contributed to this situation and how it occurred.”

The identity of the technician has not been released at this time.
