Behind an explosive first half, Oak Knoll took down Newark Academy 3-1 in the NJSIAA/Xfinity Non-Public A quarterfinal round in Summit.

Fourth-seeded Oak Knoll scored a trio of early goals to lead 3-0 at halftime. Georgia Christos, Olivia Wojie and Maris McGinty all scored for Oak Knoll.

In the second half, Annie Elberg scored for fifth-seeded Newark Academy with an assist from Juliana De Palma, but Oak Knoll clung to its lead en route to a postseason win.

Oak Knoll (8-6-1) advances to face top-seeded Immaculate Heart in the semifinal round Nov. 4 with a start time to be announced.

Newark Academy finishes the year at 9-9-3.
