SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Sullivan County man charged with attempted voluntary manslaughter is scheduled to appear in court on Friday as he awaits trial in January.
Conner Fields was taken into custody in August after allegedly shooting Jeffery Fields.
According to court documents, the shooting was the result of an argument that started between Conner's Grandfather, Terry Fields, and Jeffery Fields.
Terry Fields was allegedly attempting to kick Jeffery Fields out of his home when an altercation broke out, documents state.
During the altercation, Fields fired a shot into Jeffery Fields' back, according to court documents.
Fields has been charged with attempted voluntary manslaughter and aggravated battery.
Fields is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, November 7, for a pretri
