PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Even with periods of rain, people still came out to watch the Philadelphia Veterans Parade and show their support for the veteran community on Sunday.
Thousands of people marched down the Ben Franklin Parkway in a display of patriotism, pride and gratitude for those who have served our country.
And it wasn't just Philadelphians who came out.
Jason Dudley and Mario Lozoya are in town from Arizona to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps, which was founded right here in Philly.
"This is incredible - in the rain, Philadelphia has absolutely showed up and I couldn't be prouder," Dudley said.
"It's the birthplace of the Marine Corps right here. We came out here and wanted to celebrate with all the other Marines here in town. It's a fabulous blessing th
