OIL CITY, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting drivers to temporary lane restrictions on both directions of I-79 in Mercer County.

The lane restrictions will be in place in both directions between mile markers 119 and 133 as crews work to make repairs to several bridges as part of a $3.2 million project.

The project includes patching of parts of I-79 in Crawford and Mercer Counties, patching stretches of I-80 in Mercer and Venango Counties and making repairs to a total of 10 bridges. Six of those bridges are in I-79 in Mercer County.

There is no time frame for when work will be done, with PennDOT saying work will be done as the weather permits.
