BUFFALO, N.Y. — Get ready Western New York, wintry weather is on its way.
Storm Team 2 is tracking a system moving in Sunday through Tuesday that will bring much colder air, with rain showers turning to snow. This will be our first brief taste of winter this season.
Rain showers will move in late Saturday overnight into Sunday. Temperatures will make it to around 40 Sunday, followed by the coldest air of the season so far for Sunday night and into Monday, and also Tuesday of next week.
That will lead to scattered snow showers with some minor to moderate accumulations possible in the hills over a two-day period, and perhaps some lake effect snow showers southeast of the lakes.
