ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Flight cancellations are causing headaches across the nation, with more than 1,200 flights canceled early Friday, including 80 in Atlanta.
Since many of the flights canceled in Atlanta are regional flights to destinations in the Southeast, many travelers tell Atlanta News First’s that they are now getting a rental car as backup.
“I feel like it’s exhausting a little bit. I just want to get to where I’m going, really,” said Jessica Morningale, who flew into Atlanta from L.A. Friday morning.
Morningale went straight to the rental car center to make sure she had a way to get out of Atlanta in case her flight on Sunday gets canceled.
“They’re getting booked up pretty fast and I don’t know if all the cars are actually there,” said Morningale.
