COLUMBUS, Ohio — Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients in Ohio will most likely be issued their full November benefits by next week, according to state officials.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services said in a release Friday that it received updated federal guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service, or FNS, about SNAP benefits. It states FNS intends to make funds available for states to begin processing late Friday.
FNS had ordered states last month to delay then reduce the amount of SNAP benefits for November due to the federal government shutdown.
