COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Marion County jury convicted a man for assaulting a woman in front of her children, according to the county prosecuting attorney.
The jury found Babatunde Brown guilty of two counts of felonious assault, one count of abduction and one count of felony domestic violence, court records show. The verdict followed a two-day jury trial.
According to a release from Marion County Prosecuting Attorney Ray Grogan, a caller reported to city public safety dispatchers about hearing the mother of his child being assaulted and children’s cries in the background.
During the call, Brown said he was beating the woman because of her relationship with the caller, Grogan’s office said. The release adds she was in a relationship with Brown at the time of the attack.
