(WKBN) -- A young boy from Illinois is paying tribute to a fallen hero in a powerful way.

11-year-old Liam laced up his shoes and ran to honor Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Nicholas Cayton, who was killed in the line of duty last month. He was assisting a disabled semi-truck along State Route 11 in Canfield when another semi crashed into his patrol cruiser.
