Top-seeded Burlington City put an end to fourth-seeded Manville’s undefeated season Friday night, burying the Mustangs under a barrage of big plays to advance to the NJSIAA/Infinity Central Jersey Group 1 Tournament, 52-21.
The Blue Devils will now host second-seed Shore, a 30-6 winner over sixth-seeded Point Pleasant Beach, next Friday in Burlington City. It marks the first time Burlington City has played in a sectional final since 1979.
Four different City backs ran for touchdowns, while quarterback Mason Shansey threw for two more and Malachi Sadler returned a kickoff 84 yards for a score.
