Chris Pintado’s first-half goal gave Mount Olive the edge in 1-0 win over Bloomfield in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section, Group 4 quarterfinal round in Mount Olive.

Pintado’s goal, assisted on by Cristiano Bivona, was the 20th of his senior season.

Despite only winning 1-0, third-seeded Mount Olive substantially outshot sixth-seeded Bloomfield with a 14-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Goalie Jayden Castro provided the shutout for Mount Olive.

Mount Olive (14-8-1) advances to face second-seeded Passaic in the semifinal round Nov. 11 with a start time to be announced.

Bloomfield finishes the season at 13-6-4.
