NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Pelicans announced Friday that guard Jordan Poole has been diagnosed with a mild left vastus lateralis (quad) strain.

Poole will be re-evaluated in 7 to 10 days and further updates will be provided, according to the team.

Poole is averaging 17.3 ppg and 3.4 assists per game in his first year with the Pelicans.

The Pelicans return to action Saturday, Nov. 8 in San Antonio against the Spurs at 7 p.m. on the Gulf Coast Sport and Entertainment Network.
