New York placed under a winter weather advisory Sunday

On Saturday at 12:24 p.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Sunday between 1 a.m. and noon for Northern Herkimer, Northern Warren, Northern Washington and Northern Fulton as well as Hamilton County.

The weather service describes, "Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch."

"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions," comments the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling.
