A heroic little boy has been left with severe burns after he was hit in the head with a firework when he jumped in front of the projectile that was headed toward his sister.
Olly, 11, had been attending a local fireworks display with his family on November 5 when the incident took place. The e xplosive fell over and fired towards the crowd when he realised it was heading in the direction of his two-year-old sister, Daisy.
Brave Olly quickly moved in front of her in a bid to protect her and told his eight-year-old brother to get out of the way. The firework ended up landing in the hood of Olly's coat, where it exploded . Olly's mum Charlotte, 36, said he suffered burns to his neck, fingers and head due to putting himself in harm's way.
