MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - It hasn’t been the season Badger fans were hoping for, but even through the frustration, the pride never really fades.

“This last season has been really bad, I’m not gonna lie,” UW–Madison sophomore Hailey Batzner said. “It’s been horrible to go to every game watching our team really go down.”

Batzner and hundreds of other fans spoke with WMTV before Saturday’s home game — a matchup that ended with a 13–10 Wisconsin win. But even before the victory, the mood was clear: fans are loyal, no matter what the scoreboard shows.

“You know, you’ve gotta represent where you go. Roll Badge!” Batzner said.

Many fans said the love for the Badgers goes beyond what happens on the field.

“Win or lose, you’ve gotta stand behind your team,” longtime fan Pam Winchell said.“
