TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Alabama improved their winning streak to eight Saturday night after defeating the visiting LSU Tigers 20 - 9 in their first game since firing Brian Kelly .
Ty Simpson and the Crimson Tide started the game with the ball first and made their way into LSU territory before being stopped on 4th & 1 at the Tigers’ 39-yard-line and turning the ball over on downs.
The Tide almost got the ball back immediately when LSU fumbled the ball on their first play but were able to recover. The Tigers then found themselves in Crimson Tide territory just two plays later and eventually got to the Alabama 15-yard-lie, but were unable to capitalize on the drive after a Damian Ramos missed field goal from 30-yards out.
The Tide went three-and-out on their next drive and punt
