ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)- Low pressure settles overhead tonight, allowing for light to moderate showers to remain. Overnight lows will be near 38 degrees, with light winds. The system remains on Sunday, leading to periods of light rain throughout the day. Closer to the afternoon, showers will be steadier and more widespread. By Sunday night, precipitation can begin to fall as snow, with snow showers remaining to start Monday. Chilly air filters into the area for the start of the week, with temperatures in the upper thirties for Monday and Veterans Day. By Wednesday temperatures will be back in the mid-forties. Light snow showers, and periods of flurries and rain will continue until Thursday, with lake enhanced moisture and northwesterly winds.
