Good morning! An arctic cold front will move through later today, bringing a hefty dose of cold air to the Tennessee Valley. Temperatures will fall from the 50s this afternoon to the 30s after sunset. Northwestly wind gusts of 25-30 mph will send wind chill values down into the 20s this evening. It will get even colder tonight with lows dropping into the 20s and wind chill values into the 20s.
Brace yourself because Monday is going to be frigid. High temperatures will struggle to get out of the 20s in the higher elevations and the 30s in the valley. Strong wind gusts will keep wind chills in the 20s all day long. High temperatures will be nearly 30 degrees below average. A hard freeze is expected Monday night as temperatures drop into the teens and 20s.
