FAIRBORN, Ohio — Cincinnati Seton captured the Division I state volleyball championship with a straight-set victory over Mentor on Sunday at the Nutter Center on the campus of Wright State University. The Saints won 25-23, 25-18, 25-15 to claim the state title.

Nattie Slusher led Seton (28-0) with 16 kills and a .481 hitting percentage. Callie Combs added 11 kills, while Charley Moeddel contributed 8 kills and 2 service aces. Kirsten Kemper distributed 19 assists in the victory.

For Mentor (22-6), Melody Garrett and Kayden McKinney each recorded 10 kills. Ashlyn McKinney added 7 kills. Addi Keeper distributed 16 assists for the Cardinals.

The first set proved competitive as the teams traded points throughout. With the score tied 23-23, Penelope Reisman served Seton to consecutive points
