WOODBURN Ore. (KPTV) - Police are investigating the cause of an “explosion” that occurred inside a Woodburn motel room on Saturday night, sending three people to the hospital.
According to the Woodburn Police Department, officers were called to a reported explosion at the Woodburn Inn on North Pacific Highway about 10:40 p.m. Saturday night.
Upon arrival, officers found an injured man outside one of the ground-level wounds. They say the man’s injuries appeared to be caused from “flying glass and debris” that was found spread throughout the motel parking lot.
Inside the room police say the explosion came from, officers found two woman suffering from burn injuries.
All three victims were taken to a nearby hospital, and are expected to recover.
