PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A drunk driver struck a police car nearly head-on Saturday night, injuring the driver and two officers, according to a spokesperson with the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).
Shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the area of Northeast 129th Place and Northeast Halsey Street in response to a reported crash.
On Sunday, the PPB revealed that the the crash occurred when a driver, identified as 47-year-old Zachary Kwok Lee of Portland, hit a police car nearly head-on at the intersection after making a dangerous turn - sending the squad car into a fence.
The PPB says two officers in the car were given a medical evaluation at the hospital, but their injuries were minor.
