HILO, Hawaii (Island News) -- The Hawaii Fire Department is battling a wildland fire in North Hilo.

Hawaii County reports at least 60 acres have burned. The Hawaii County Civil Defense sent an alert at 11:50 a.m. stating the fire broke out near Mauna Kea Access and Mana Roads. Mana Road is closed from the access road. There is no threat to the community at this time.
