ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — As temperatures dip near record lows overnight into Monday morning, warming shelters are scheduled to open in Roane and Greene Counties.
In Roane County, a warming center will be open starting at 8 p.m. at the Courts of Praise Church. It is located at 215 Maple Street in Harriman. The city government thanked the church and everyone who supports the community during the cold.
In Greeneville, Asbury United Methodist Church is scheduled to be open as an overnight shelter between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. on November 9 through 10 and 10 through 11. It is at 201 S. Main Street, according to the Greeneville/Greene County, TN Office of Emergency Management & HLS.
