BUTTE, NORTH DAKOTA — A Ruso man has died after losing control of a pickup on ice-covered roads near Butte late Saturday, Nov. 8, or early Sunday, Nov. 9, according to police.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol has yet to identify the driver. They said in release that the man, 63, was driving a 1999 Ford F-250 west on North Dakota Highway 53 when he lost control and entered the south ditch, where the pickup rolled and came to rest on the driver's side.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said. He was discovered dead at the scene of the crash.
The crash is under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Butte is about 50 miles southeast of Minot.
