A man has been stabbed multiple times in a shocking incident that unfolded in broad daylight in Nottingham. Emergency services were dispatched to the St Ann's area shortly after 12.50pm on Monday, November 10, following reports of a serious assault.
The scene at Abbotsford Drive has been cordoned off by Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service as investigations are underway. Authorities have stated that they believe this to be an isolated incident and do not consider it a threat to the wider public.
In a statement, Nottinghamshire Police confirmed that a man was found with stab wounds. They are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information, no matter how minor it may seem. Chief Inspector Dean Gallacher of Nottinghamshire Police said, "A team of detectives is already working to understand exactly what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident."
Gallacher urged anyone who saw or heard anything related to the incident to assist with the investigation. He reassured the community, stating, "People in the area will understandably be concerned, but we currently believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public. We will also be increasing patrols to provide reassurance while inquiries continue."
