ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Two people are in custody after allegedly shooting out a deputy’s window, then leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase on I-25.
The episode started around 5:40 Monday morning near I-25 and U.S. 36, outside a home where two people and a dog had perished in a fire just 24 hours earlier. According to 11 News sister station CBS Denver, the deputy was on security patrol at the house and was sitting in their personal vehicle when the window shattered.
The suspect vehicle was located a short time later on I-25. Deputies chased after the car until the suspects lost control and crashed. Both occupants were taken into custody, and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said a pellet gun was recovered.
